Zach & Ashley — Luxury Travel Pros Choose Luxury Scuba Training

Zach and Ashley had spent decades in New York building a highly successful luxury travel business. Ironically, while they curated world-class experiences for their clients, they had never taken the time to travel much themselves. After selling their company—a stressful but rewarding milestone—they finally had the freedom, means, and desire to enjoy the kind of bespoke experiences they had long delivered to others.

Zach had been certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver nearly ten years earlier but had barely dipped a fin in the water since. Ashley, meanwhile, had always wanted to learn to dive but needed a path that matched their lifestyle: private, flexible, and elevated. What they emphatically did not want was a one-size-fits-all scuba program or a big-box dive shop experience.

ConciergeScuba was exactly the solution they had been searching for.

They were paired with Mark—PADI Master Instructor and, more importantly, their dedicated personal scuba professional. Mark designed a completely customized training program to meet both their needs. Zach completed a tailored PADI ReActivate program to regain confidence after years out of the water. For Ashley, Mark crafted a seamless progression that took her from PADI Open Water Diver all the way through PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, ensuring she could comfortably match Zach’s diving level.

Together, they continued their journey with premium specialty courses including Enriched Air/Nitrox, Night Diving, and Wreck Diving—each selected to reflect their travel goals and newfound passion.

And the setting? It couldn’t have been more perfect.  Their academic sessions took place right at Zach and Ashley’s kitchen table. Pool sessions were conducted in their own backyard pool, which met PADI specifications—private, peaceful, and perfectly convenient.

For their Open Water dives and specialty training, ConciergeScuba arranged a custom trip to the Presidente Intercontinental Resort & Spa in Cozumel, one of the region’s premier dive destinations. Instructor Mark accompanied them personally, and he didn’t arrive empty-handed. By prior arrangement, he brought a fully curated set of high-end dive gear for both clients: BCDs, regulator packages, dive computers, and even a fresh set of fins for Zach—whose old pair had definitely seen better days.

“We fit them up right in their hotel suite and had them comfortable and confident in their new gear for the next morning’s dives,” Mark recalls.
“It couldn’t have gone any better.”

It was exactly the kind of white-glove, impeccably executed experience Zach and Ashley had spent their careers delivering to their own clients—and now, finally, they were the ones enjoying it.
