Over the years, we’ve seen a wonderful trend: more and more young students discovering scuba at an early age. When introduced responsibly, diving becomes not just an activity, but a lifelong passion—and for families who already love the underwater world, the moment their kids turn 10 feels like a milestone worth celebrating.
For Nathan and Jen, both seasoned divers with more than 100 dives each, that moment had arrived. Their children, Justin (13) and Imogen (10), were finally old enough to join the family underwater. With both parents deeply experienced—Nathan and Jen were Advanced Open Water and Enriched Air/Nitrox certified, and Jen was a full PADI Rescue Diver—the kids were more than ready to begin their own scuba journey.
We affectionately came to know them as “The Clan.”
