How does a month sailing the Caribbean on a private luxury yacht sound?
To us—pretty spectacular.
So when a group of clients chartered the 120-foot luxury yacht Nalani for 30 days and asked ConciergeScuba to join them as their personal onboard scuba instructor, we didn’t hesitate. Early summer found nine guests, including two adventurous siblings aged 12 and 14, stepping aboard alongside ConciergeScuba Instructor Robert for what would become an unforgettable month at sea.
Two Weeks, Unlimited Adventure
ConciergeScuba would be onboard for the first two weeks of the voyage—so from the moment the lines were cast off, we got to work. We arranged all necessary scuba gear (some rented specifically for the trip, others custom-purchased at client request), along with tanks, weights, and a complete training and exploration plan.
Out of the nine guests, seven wanted to become scuba divers. The remaining two opted for an immersive snorkeling experience only—but no one was left out of the fun.
A Full Scuba Curriculum… At Sea
Over the next two weeks, the yacht became a floating dive school—albeit one with a private chef, sun decks, and sunset cocktails.
The seven scuba-focused guests completed:
And in one of the most impressive examples of determination we’ve seen, one guest—John—went from his very first breaths underwater to fully certified PADI Rescue Diver in just 14 days. His enthusiasm was unmatched, and so was the progress he made.
Every scuba participant earned at least six certifications during the trip.
Snorkelers Included: No One Left Behind
For the two guests who preferred snorkeling, ConciergeScuba ensured their experience was every bit as enriching. Both completed the official PADI Advanced Snorkeling program and enjoyed countless guided sessions in pristine Caribbean water. Divers and snorkelers alike shared the magic of shallow reefs, sea turtle encounters, and crystal-clear coves.
Training, Yes — But Also Pure Enjoyment
Despite the impressive amount of training accomplished, this was far from an all-work trip. Between courses, the group enjoyed:
Some days, the only “activity” was lounging in the sun and sea breeze (Instructor Robert notably preferred the shade).
The result was a perfect balance: structure and accomplishment blended with luxury, relaxation, and the freedom to explore some of the Caribbean’s most stunning underwater landscapes.
