30 Days on the Luxury Yacht Nalani

Private Instruction on a Caribbean Superyacht

Nine guests. A 30-day Caribbean charter. And ConciergeScuba along for the first two weeks as their personal onboard instructor.

Seven guests wanted full scuba certification; two preferred snorkeling only. We arrived with curated gear, tanks, weights, and a fully customized training plan.

Over 14 days, the yacht transformed into a floating dive academy—with sunsets, shore trips, and cocktails mixed in, of course.

Achievements included:

  • Seven guests: Open Water + Advanced Open Water
  • Multiple specialty certifications
  • One guest (John!) going from first breaths underwater → Rescue Diver in two weeks
  • Snorkelers receiving official PADI Advanced Snorkeler certifications

And not every day was training—there were long, relaxed fun dives and lazy days in the sun (with Instructor Robert happily in the shade).

Don & Marie — Preparing for Raja Ampat & The Arenui

A six-month countdown to a bucket-list liveaboard aboard the Arenui—one of the world’s most luxurious, handcrafted Indonesian vessels—led Don and Marie to ConciergeScuba.

Both were certified but out of practice:

  • Don: 60 dives but hadn’t dived recently
  • Marie: Only 10 dives, over 10 years ago

To prepare them for the demanding diving of Raja Ampat, we created a bespoke hybrid plan:

  • ReActivate for Don
  • Repeat of the full Open Water course for Marie
  • Advanced Open Water
  • Nitrox
  • Peak Performance Buoyancy

By the time they boarded The Arenui, they weren’t just ready—they were confident, competent, and fully prepared for the adventure of a lifetime.

“The Clan” — A Family of Four Levels Up Together

Nathan and Jen were avid divers—Advanced, Nitrox, and even Rescue certified—who had logged 100+ dives each. Their children, Justin (13) and Imogen (10), had finally reached the age where they could join the family underwater.

ConciergeScuba created a family-designed training program:

Kids:

  • Junior Open Water
  • Junior Adventure/Advanced
  • Nitrox (for Justin)

Parents:

  • Rescue Diver (Nathan)
  • Multiple specialty certifications for both
  • Promotion to PADI Master Scuba Diver, the highest non-professional distinction

Along the way, we curated new, perfectly fitted gear for the kids and upgraded outdated equipment for the parents—ensuring comfort, safety, and family-wide confidence.

Zach & Ashley — Luxury Travel Pros Choose Luxury Scuba Training

After selling their successful luxury travel company, Zach and Ashley were ready to finally enjoy the type of bespoke experiences they once curated for clients. Zach was certified a decade ago but out of practice; Ashley had never taken the plunge.

They wanted privacy, customization, and zero big-box dive shop vibes.

ConciergeScuba paired them with PADI Master Instructor Mark, who crafted a tailored program: a ReActivate program for Zach, and a full Open Water → Advanced Open Water progression for Ashley. They completed academics at their kitchen table and pool training in their own backyard.

Their open water dives took place at the Presidente Intercontinental in Cozumel, where Mark arrived with a fully curated set of premium scuba gear for both clients—personally fitted right in their suite.

Certifications Earned:

  • ReActivate (Zach)
  • Open Water + Advanced (Ashley)
  • Nitrox, Night, and Wreck specialties (both)

John & Lucy — A Private Journey to St. Lucia

John and Lucy, a young couple from Atlanta, had always wanted to dive but didn’t want the crowds or inflexible schedules of a typical dive shop. After loving a private tennis-pro experience at their club, they wondered: Can scuba feel this personal?

ConciergeScuba made the answer “Yes!”

Their academic sessions happened right at home; their pool training took place at their private club. Two weeks later, they met their dedicated instructor in St. Lucia at Jade Mountain Resort, where they completed their PADI Open Water certification—all followed by several days of blissful fun diving.

On that same trip, they earned Enriched Air/Nitrox and Peak Performance Buoyancy, and they’re already planning to join their instructor again in Saba for their Advanced Open Water.

Certifications Earned:

  • Open Water (2)
  • Enriched Air/Nitrox (2)
  • Peak Performance Buoyancy (2)
